Qatar’s Logistics Committee has revealed designs for offices, warehouses, showrooms and housing facilities for employees and labourers at the Logistic Area Project coming up in the southern part of the country, a report said.
The approved designs are for 1,000 square metres (sq m) and 2,000 sq m plots, and will be provided to developers for free by authorities in order to save developers’ time and efforts, added The Peninsula report.
The project spreading over southern Al Wakra, Birkat Al Awamir and Aba Salil will include warehousing facilities for cars, assembly units, cold storages, shops and showrooms, commercial offices, labour camps, workshops, service centres and depots, it said.
Designs can be altered for smaller or bigger plots but new altered designs will be required to be approved by authorities, according to tradearabia news report.
Additionally, the Logistic Committee and Economic Zone Company (Manateq) have also signed memorandums of understanding (MoU) with International Islamic (Qatar International Islamic Bank) and Barwa Bank for financing the project for 10 years, added the report.
